Beeston Manor Summer Wedding - Preston Wedding Photographer

George and Lizzie Got Married!

You can’t beat a summer wedding, you have ample time literally on your side when it comes to the light and when you have a venue as fab as Beeston Manor and a couple as chilled as George and Lizzie, it truly is a very good day in the office! Roll back to September 2018 and I knew the moment I met George and Lizzie that their wedding was going to be a great fun filled day and it truly didn’t disappoint.

Bridal Preparations

On the morning of the wedding I met up with the bridal party at the Oak Royal Hotel which is not far from Beeston. The champagne was flowing and hair and makeup was in full swing. One of my favourite things to photograph as a wedding photographer is the dress, Lizzie had a stunning gown from a local boutique (The White Gallery) in Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester. She looked stunning. Whilst I was with the girls my second photographer, Jane was with the boys capturing all the action before the ceremony - thanks Jane x

Beeston Manor Ceremony Room

George and Lizzie were married at Beeston which has one of the nicest ceremony rooms in Lancashire, its so light and airy and with added touches of fairy lights and wooden beams it is a lovely space to say ‘I do’ in. George was so nervous waiting for his bride to arrive, Lizzie was a little late due to a issue with the wedding car, however I’m sure George would agree that she was worth the wait.

Drinks Reception Outside

Once the formalities were completed it was time to really enjoy the wedding celebrations with a drinks reception and canapes outside as it was so lovely and sunny and of course the confetti shot. Quite possibly one of my favourite moments on any wedding day, there’s something so glorious about throwing / showering confetti over the happy couple. I love capturing the reactions, plus it means more kisses for the bride and groom!

Relaxed Portraits

During a summer wedding I will always take my couple out twice for portraits, it makes complete sense as the light changes so much throughout the day. Couples who book me to capture their days always tell me that they don’t like having their portraits taken, this is totally normal! Honestly though, I will make sure its an enjoyable experience, we will go for a walk around the venue grounds, stopping for a chat, you guys get to have some alone time and I walk around you snapping away capturing those dress and flower details.

Hilarious Speeches & Dancing

George and Lizzie have a large group of really close friends, most of these friends made up the bridal party. However after the speeches I am pretty sure that George was slightly doubting his choice of best men, I’ve never seen a groom so mortified by the stories they were telling, George definitely had a few ‘head in hand’ moments! During the speeches, father of the bride John was surprised with a very special cake just for him as it was his sixty birthday on the day of the wedding. Lots of special memories. Soon it was time for the wedding cake to be cut, it was a gorgeous cake made by Lizzie’s good friend and bridesmaid Molly, from Molly’s Creative Cakes. After the first dance the wedding party partied the night away with band The Groovy Cats providing the music.

George and Lizzie thank you for choosing me to capture your special day as your Beeston Manor wedding photographer. Here are some of my favourite moments from your wedding. Enjoy x
