PRIVACY POLICY
First and foremost, I totally respect your personal information and I will only ask you for what information I really need to help deliver the service you expect from me. I will of course keep your data safe and secure and I will only share it with other suppliers where I need their help to deliver a service or product to you.
The nitty, gritty details!
Laura Duggleby Photography takes your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy has been prepared in line with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which promotes fairness and transparency for all individuals in respect of their personal data. This privacy policy applies to all data I process, and by using Laura Duggleby Photography you consent to my collection and use of such data.
1. The Data I collect
I collect a variety of data in order to deliver my service to you, and I will manage your personal data transparently, fairly and securely.
I may ask you to provide the following data –
Your name, address, mobile number, email and of course if you are booking me for your wedding I will need all details about your big day so that I don’t turn up at the wrong church, venue etc.
I will also record a date of birth for all persons I photograph under the age of 13 and I will require the parent or a legal guardian to consent to the photography.
As a photographic business, I also create and manage images as per our contractual agreement and as images are seen as data I need your consent to take them.
Why do I need all the above data? Well, to deliver my service to you, I might also use your data for marketing purposes and to personalise your experience.
I collect this data on the following lawful basis to arrange your contract. Which for weddings in basic terms, means I know who you are, where your wedding will be held, who to contact on the day if there is a issue and finally where to post your lovely prints to after your wedding!!
Final point you need to know, when you visit my website, the website collects Cookies, not the chocolate chip type unfortunately but the small pieces of data that websites send to a user's computer and are stored on the user's web browser. The reason for this? Again it’s all to enhance your experience, they are designed to enable the website to remember key information and this helps me to market my business and provide you with the service you expect.
2. Which third parties do I share Personal Data with?
I only share personal data with the following third parties:
Google analytics (which shows me a how you view my website), Gmail (my email provider), my Accountant (who really isn’t interested in anything other than the £ sign), Squarespace (my website manager), Printing Labs, Pixieset (my online gallery provider so you can view and use your lovely photographs), Blog providers (sometimes I want to show the world your beautiful weddings so will submit to a wedding blog. If accepted, then they will use some of the data you provide to me. However, I would never submit in the first instance without your written consent) and finally I have several external hard drives, which are kept securely locked away.
Just to make you aware, your data is not transferred outside of the European Economic Area unless the company I use is outside of the EU, for example Google (an American company), which therefore falls under the protection of EU/US Privacy Shield.
There are also certain situations in which I may share access to your personal data without your explicit consent; for example, if required by law, to protect the life of an individual, or to comply with any valid legal process, government request, rule or regulation.
3. Why do I share your Personal Data with the above?
I share your data in order to deliver my service to you, but also for marketing purposes (I love sharing images (with your permission) on social media and my lovely website). I may also share your data to allow you access to your own personal online gallery. And, ultimately I want to personalise your experience so I may share data in order to do this.
4. How do I keep your personal data secure?
I keep your data secure by ensuring that passwords are used at all times (I am the only one with access to my business computer) I keep all hard-drives locked and only use the data that is required at the time to perform the service requested. If you enquire about a service I provide and then choose not to use me as your family or wedding photographer……I might cry a little, but then I will delete all your information.
5. Changes to my privacy policy and control
I may change this privacy policy from time to time. When I do, I will let you know by changing the date on this policy, notifying customers of only significant changes.
