Shireburn Arms - Lancashire Wedding Photography

Ribble Valley Wedding Photographer

Sally and Scott got married at the very gorgeous Shireburn Arms in the Ribble Valley!! I was so excited to share this lovely couples day with them and it totally exceeded all my expectations as a Lancashire Wedding Photographer.  Sally and Scott booked me at the beginning of 2017, their wedding was my very first solo wedding, it was a real honour for me to be a part of their big day. Sally made a beautiful bride and looked truly stunning in her dress from Amelia's Bridal in Clitheroe.

Snow had been forecast for the day of the wedding, however when I arrived at the Shireburn Arms it was just raining with a little hailstone, a white wedding would of be just magical, on the day we just had rain which does seem to be typical of a winter in the UK. A winter wedding in December means you can never truly predict what the weather will be like. Whatever the weather it was never going to dampen the mood for this bride and groom to be!  I met up with Sally during bridal preparations in the bridal suite, which has stunning views across the Ribble Valley, to capture all the details and excitement!!

Sally and Scott met on a blind date in 2005 and got engaged in 2015, although not wanting to set a date straight away, Sally was keen that they were married before hitting their 13 year anniversary!!  A winter wedding date was set for December 2017 and Shireburn Arms was chosen shortly afterwards!!  This was my second time shooting at the Shireburn Arms and it is definitely one of my favourite James Places wedding venues, I can see why Sally and Scott fell in love with the quirkiness of the pub and the staff are just fantastic!

One of my favourite aspects of any wedding day besides the ceremony, is couple portraits.  This is a lovely time to have a quiet moment together without any guests or family members around!!  The weather on Sally and Scott's big day was torrential rain so we were never able to venture outside for formals or portraits. This really wasn't a issue, the Shireburn Arms has some beautiful spots for intimate portraits and we had a real giggle during this part of the day!!

Sally and Scott your day was just full on gorgeousness!!  Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your wedding celebrations as your wedding photographer.  A big shout out to all the wonderful suppliers who helped make the wedding so special, and also to Jane from Daisychain Photography who was my second for this wedding.
