Doc Martens, Graze Tables & A Perfect Humanist Outdoor Ceremony for Anna & Steve at Simply Fields Burnley
Bridal Preparations in Lancashire
This wedding just oozed styled and chilled out festival vibes from the get-go! I knew it was going to be a really laid-back wedding when greeted by bride Anna, who was drinking a cup of tea and burning incense sticks whilst lacing her custom-made doc martens. A truly beautiful human, Anna was a joy to be around and with lots of friends and family as bridesmaids getting ready, the morning quickly passed, however one mention has to go to Anna’s gorgeous long haired tabby cat, Tallulah, absolutely stole the show and would have been quite happy with her own photoshoot! Anna looked incredible in her wedding gown, a true nod to boho style with lots of details, lace and fringing on the arms, just perfect.
Ceremony at Simply Fields Wedding Venue
The Bubbly Campervan was on hand to transport the girls in style through the rolling countryside and on to Simply Fields in Lancashire where Steve was waiting to tie the knot with Anna. With the song “One Day Like This” by Elbow playing, (I love this song!) Anna walked with her dad down the aisle. A lovely ceremony, lots of happy tears and beautiful moments, especially when their two sons helping during the hand tying.
Relaxed Couple Portraits & Grazing Tables
Anna and Steve really enjoyed some quiet time alone away from the wedding party to get those all-important couple portraits and with the VW campervan available, we made full use of that whilst drinking some fizz, although we did have a couple of photobombers. See if you can spot them in the gallery! Anna and Steve didn’t want any speeches, just a really relaxed meal comprising of the most delicious grazing table spread I've ever seen. The wedding breakfast room looked beautiful and had been styled with lots of botanics and pampas grass plus the cutest flowerpot table plans.
First Dance & Sunsets
Once the meal was complete everyone headed back outside to enjoy drinks around the fire pits and just take in the views of the Lancashire countryside before the band started for the first dance. It really is a beautiful setting at Simply Fields and when you get the sunsets, it doesn’t get much better as an alternative, relaxed wedding venue. Anna and Steve did get lucky with a sunset, and we managed to get a quick portrait before the sun disappeared before I left them to enjoy the evening partying with family and friends.
