A Summer Wedding at Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Burnley
Jenny and Adam booked me a couple of years ago prior to the pandemic so I was really looking forward to their big day, not only because they had to wait so long to get married, but also because I had never worked before at Crow Wood Hotel and Spa, so I was desperate to shoot there and see the hotel as a wedding venue.
Bridal Preparations in Lancashire
Jenny was quite possibly one of the most relaxed brides I have ever had! She simply wasn’t bothered about lots of details or taking many pictures, however I couldn’t help myself when I saw the gorgeous white rose bouquet, stunning! Jenny had chosen a simple backless gown with a full cathedral train, Jenny looked sensational. Adam and his groomsmen were all in black tie, the theme for the wedding, simple elegance.
Candlelit Ceremony at Crow Wood Hotel & Spa
A wedding ceremony room filled with white blossom trees and candles lining the aisle, sometimes simple styling, gives the most impact. I was truly blown away when I saw how pretty the room looked. Take a look below and see for yourself!
Jenny and Adam had asked a couple of their close friends to say readings for them, after which they exchanged rings, and a kiss sealed the ceremony, before we all headed outside to shower the newlyweds in confetti. After five years of shooting weddings, this is still one of my favourite images to capture, confetti guarantee’s smiles! Crow Wood has some beautiful grounds, once the guests were enjoying the drinks reception, I whisked Jenny and Adam away for half an hour to get those all-important couple portraits.
Wedding Breakfast Elegance
The wedding breakfast room looked wonderful and had been styled with lots of candles, white rose and blossom trees, the wedding cake looked like marble all white and grey tones with a simple grey ribbon to finish. A truly beautiful wedding. Thank you to Jenny and Adam for choosing me to capture their special day.
