Today feels like a good day to share this beautiful wedding. The sun is shinning ( ignore the rain clouds looming) and we had good news yesterday that there is light at the end of the tunnel from this pandemic. I don’t know about you, but I certainly have felt over this past 12 months like we’ve been living through a dream / nightmare. It’s strange to think that 2020 will be known throughout history as when the covid pandemic began! I for one can not wait to get back to a super busy Summer Wedding Season, fingers and toes are still very tightly crossed for me as we tip toe closer to June, however I am feeling really positive and excited for 2021.

For a moment, let me take you back to December 2020, Adam and Steph were due to get married this year, however Steph contacted me in the Autumn of 2020, to let me know that they had decided to bring forward their wedding as they just couldn’t wait to get married, even with the restrictions on numbers, they just wanted to say ‘I do.’ Adam and Steph had changed their venue, they love the Lakes and the stunning Laura Ashley Hotel The Belsfield, was secured as their wedding hotel.

There is something magical about the Lake District, the rolling mountains and lakes, it’s a stunning location to get married, after Adam and Steph’s ceremony we headed down to the lake for some portraits by the water. Steph had chosen a beautiful gown from Brides at Charnock Farm and the train was huge, we had lots of fun negotiating this train around the passerby’s and the swans. A portrait by the water is a must for all brides and Steph took it in her stride swan poo and all!

Adam and Steph’s intimate wedding was just perfect, celebrating with 15 of their closest family and friends they certainly had a wonderful day and I felt extremely privileged that they had chosen me to capture their wedding day.
