It’s the second month of 2022 and I’m starting to feel like we are getting back to some form of normality after living through this pandemic. Weddings are happening, masks are off and it feels so nice that my 2022 wedding season kicks off this week! I thought now would be a good opportunity to look back over some of the beautiful weddings I was lucky to shoot last year and share them with you all, I use to love looking over wedding blogs for inspiration when I was planning my own wedding!
Let me introduce you to the wedding of Daisy and Rob, held on one of the hottest days of summer 2021 at the stunningly beautiful Browsholme Hall. I’ve shot a couple of weddings at this venue before but this was before the introduction of the lily pond which is just a lovely little area for portraits, in fact you can now have your wedding ceremony at the lily pond, a perfect place to say ‘I do.’
I met up with Daisy and her bridesmaids for bridal prep where the fizz was flowing, as the girls got ready Daisy had asked for some pictures with her daughter and their horses, a super cute moment with everyone looking at the camera! Daisy and Rob had opted for lots of wild flowers in blue, lemon and white tones, the displays at the barn were fabulous and really made the barn look unique for Daisy and Rob.
Once married we headed to the lake for some ‘fun’ images of the groomsmen, it was a request from the bride that they all go on the lake much to their surprise and Daisy’s amusement when they looked like they all might get very wet! Following the speeches the evening do really got started with a band playing, Daisy and Rob had a very quick first dance before being joined with their children on the dancefloor, I left everyone to enjoy the evening shortly after the first dance.
